How to read the results

Under 50 ms: Excellent. Ideal for competitive play.
50 to 100 ms: Good. Fine for most game modes.
Over 100 ms: High. You may notice delayed hit registration.
Jitter is the variation in ping. Under 10 ms is ideal, high jitter feels like stutter and teleporting.

How to lower your ping

Use a wired (Ethernet) connection instead of WiFi.
Pause downloads, streams and updates while playing.
Turn off your VPN, it usually increases ping.
Restart your router. On wireless, move closer to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the ping test show my in-game ping?+

It shows a very close value. Our website and game servers share the same datacenter, so the measured latency is close to your in-game ping. HTTP overhead can add a few milliseconds.

What is a good ping for CS2?+

Under 50 ms is very good and 50 to 80 ms is good. Above 100 ms you may notice delayed hit registration.

Why does the ping test fail?+

Ad blockers or privacy extensions can block the test requests. Disable them, refresh the page and try again.
